Monsters of Drumstep Vol 2 + Beetlejuice

Hey guys. So for the past couple months I have been touring non stop and testing out new material. Within that time I finished the 2nd installment of my Monsters series… “Monsters Of Drumstep Vol.2.” Compared to Vol.1, I’d easily say this is more for the floor as I’ve been tweaking every song to perfection after each gig… making sure they are sure shot fire.

Not only is this just in time for the Halloween season, but also the first release to launch my own DOOM MUSIC imprint. Stay tuned for many many heavy releases to come from that… but i’ll save that for another post.

Vol 2 will hit worldwide stores on October 18th, including 3 BIG remixes of my favorite cuts.  To get in the ghostly mood for my obvious favorite holiday… I have been making tons of edits and bootlegs from popular themes and cult movies, including everyone’s childhood favorite “ghost with the most” – BEETLEJUICE! This is more a remake an ode to the theme song using the main riffs for the intro to set the mood for Lydia to call out his name 3 times to unleash the hellish drop that awaits. I have been having a blast with all the crowds with this and I’m sure you will too.

Next up is Denver at Beta Nightclub on October 7th with a full tour launching Halloween weekend with a set at Avalon in L.A. on Oct 28th. Full schedule will be announced soon.  For those of you outside the normal tour route, I’ll be playing the full release along with some unheard tracks during a LIVE Beatport UStream set before the show at Beta.

    I have been going through withdrawl since I heard all these songs at Big Dub Candy Mountain, those songs re-wired my brain I’m pretty sure to because I don’t want to listen to anything else. I’m not sure if I can wait any longer to hear the rest of the new monsters set either or I might have a heart attack but not a real one.       Play Me is great. Wanted to get this one out to everyone, not just Beatport… but sadly schedules didn’t allow. Hopefully they’ll support and he’ll get to do another Play Me release soon.

            sounds to me like he’s trying to build a new house off a foundation that was established by Play Me Records. I’ve seen this happen multiple times. Use someone else’s successful label to propel themselves to future opportunities, make promises and then throw their hands in the air once they’ve got a heartless manager who only cares about the all mighty dollar.

            It’s obvious that music is for the people! Thanks for informing us. Yes Figure gives away alot of music and has an awesome fan base. He also gave away all his tunes that he contractually signed from the first monsters release (against any typical exclusive contract).  Everyone wants it to be all about the music and the love but at the end of the day its business and I guess you either do the screwing or get screwed. Hope everyone can sleep at night.

No one set any foundation up for me .. there was 3 monster tracks before that release with PLAY ME ( and I had about 50 releases on beatport before that ep ).. they are a label.. they released a ep for me.. nothing was done different for that release compared to any other ep they put out .. the music is what made the release what it was .. (the content..not the host).
          Who gives a fuck that they made the art for it  .. that comes with any releasing.. a simple ‘given’.
          It’s not about the almighty dollar .. but if Im going to put out music..Im not going to only put it on sites just for dj’s .. the goal of getting the music out is to break out of that box.

          The way you stay in the same spot is to make the exact same moves.

          Someone knowing what you know either means you are a part of the label or they feel the need to preach what happened…either one of those is a prime example why I am self releasing.

          Go troll some place else.

    I know you said you’re working on vol. 3, any chance it’ll be more like vol 1?  Because, and I mean no offense seeing as you’re my favorite artist, these all sound pretty straight foward and softer compared to vol. 1. ((maybe leatherface or hyde aren’t “soft” but neither are really at your neck like vol. 1))  Which is fine, I’ve been playing out the monsters revenge since you released it but overall just not what I was expecting. Where’s the face smashing vol 1 style shit at?
    P.S. – You should get with Ry Legit for a track, kids doin it BIG..REAL FUCKIN BIIGGGG and he’s right with you on the movie/themed sample front. Plus he’s a SoCal head and you’ll be out there at the end of the month. Juusst saayyiinn…

      This ep is actually way more to your neck .. its for the floor .. Vol.1 had people stopping on the dance floor for over a minute for movie scene break.. when this one just chugs along for the djs .. I made this while on the road the entire time .. its made for sets… they work.  Ry seems like he is off to a good start.

    Figure let me first say I love your music it is very unique but even though I do like volume 2 alot (especially “boogie man”!!!), it seems like the drops or whatever you call it (still kinda new to dubstep/drumstep) doesn’t hit as hard as “The Werewolf” did from volume 1. You literally are the reason why I now listen to dubstep/drumstep nonstop please still make some tracks like from volume 1. I will listen to volume 2 just as much as volume 1 still though because I love how fast paced your music is!
